Rashid Yachts & Marina (Mina Rashid) is a historic port district in Dubai undergoing extensive modernization, which will include a harbor for 430 yachts, a beach area of 135,600 sq. ft, floating hotels, restaurants, a yacht club, as well as elite coastal residences.

Rashid Yachts & Marina is the new name of one of Dubai's historic districts, Mina Rashid, also known as Port Rashid. The area covers over 6.8 million sq. ft. This territory is currently undergoing extensive renovation and rebranding. After everything has been completed, it is planned that Rashid Yachts & Marina will become one of the most attractive places for living and leisure in Dubai.
Port Rashid was the first trading port in Dubai, created by decree of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and named after him. The port opened in 1972 after dredging, which allowed large seafaring vessels to dock. It connected Dubai by water to different countries in the world and became one of the leading trading and cruise centers in the Middle East (most of the cargo traffic has now been moved to Port Jebel Ali). This is the second largest port in the UAE after Port Jebel Ali.
In 2019, the leading developer of the UAE, Emaar Properties, together with P&O Marinas (a subsidiary of the global trade operator DP World – UAE Region), launched a large-scale renovation of the area, with investments in the project amounting to AED 25,000,000,000 (USD 6,800,000,000). As a result of the renovation, Rashid Yachts & Marina will become a world-class yachting center, offering exclusive entertainment and a premium lifestyle on the seashore, and will strengthen Dubai's position as the main cruise center in the Middle East. Along the canal, there will be a 500-meter-long pool, as well as a promenade, a harbor with 430 berths, a floating yacht club, a private beach club, and much more.
The residential properties in Rashid Yachts & Marina are mostly apartments in medium and low-rise buildings. Most of them are under construction.
Rashid Yachts & Marina is located in the eastern part of the emirate, close to the popular areas of Bur Dubai and Deira, and within a 15-minute drive from Dubai International Airport and the city center.
The Sheikh Rashid Road highway runs near Rashid Yachts & Marina, which can be used to reach the main highway of the emirate, Sheikh Zayed Road, in 10 minutes, providing access to most areas and iconic places in Dubai.
As for infrastructure, it is still under development. In particular, a school is planned to be opened here, making the area an excellent place for family living. Shops are already operating on the territory, as well as many F&B establishments, including Fatima Mehdi Restaurant, Desi Mama, SIAM Restaurant, The Coffee Lab, Abdulrazzaq Abdulkarim Restaurant, KoBASHi, and others.
Residents and visitors of the area can already use public transport. The nearest bus stops, located within walking distance, include Caltex, Reservoir 1 and 2, Department of Ports & Customs 1, and Al Mina Road 2. They are located on Jumeirah Beach Road and Al Mina Street. There is also a ferry station at Rashid Yachts & Marina, where ferry and water taxi services are available.
As for other popular areas, attractions, and transport hubs in Dubai, they can be reached within half an hour by car:
• 10 minutes - Pearl Jumeirah;
• 15 minutes - Dubai International Airport (DXB), Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Dubai Creek Harbour, City Walk, Dubai International Financial Centre;
• 25 minutes - Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina.
After modernization is complete, the district will become one of the main tourist zones of Dubai and the leading cruise center in the Middle East. Passenger liners from all over the world already dock here. Rashid Yachts & Marina will feature a museum, theater, floating restaurants, water hotels, and six interconnected parks. A large beach with elite amenities will provide residents and guests of the district with a luxurious resort experience.
The district's master plan includes over 3,000 elite coastal residences with views of the sea harbor and the Downtown Dubai skyline. After the completion of the district's infrastructure, and an increase in tourist flow, property here is expected to increase in value.
