The creation of the archipelago began in 2001, and construction started five years later and continues to this day. The main developer is the state-owned company Nakheel, one of the largest in the region, also known for building the unique archipelago The World, the elite community of Jumeirah Islands, and other major areas of Dubai. Currently, the company continues to enhance the attractiveness of Palm Jumeirah for both tourists and permanent residents. Nakheel has launched the construction of a new beach club, the construction of a network of pedestrian bridges, and the renovation of The Pointe shopping and entertainment complex.

All islands of the archipelago are connected to each other and to the mainland of the city. Along the Crescent islands, there is a road, and the central part of the district is connected to the "trunk" by a monorail transport and a one and a half-kilometer underwater tunnel with a six-lane highway. The monorail passes through the entire main part of the area with several stops at popular locations and goes to the mainland next to the tram stop, connecting Palm Jumeirah with Jumeirah Beach and Dubai Marina, as well as several stations of the red metro line.

Two multi-lane bridges lead to Sheikh Zayed Road, one of the main highways connecting different areas of the city. Thanks to this, Downtown Dubai, DIFC, DWTC, and Business Bay are reachable within 20-25 minutes, Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai International Airport within 30-35 minutes, and Burj Al Arab, Dubai Marina, and Mall of the Emirates within 15 minutes. In addition, numerous yacht marinas scattered across the archipelago allow for transportation by personal sea vessels and water taxis.

At least four preschool educational institutions are located in the residential neighborhoods at the base of the archipelago, where pharmacies, convenience stores, and supermarkets like Allday, Choithrams, Cherry Express, Spinneys, Union Coop, and Waitrose can also be found. GEMS Wellington International School, American School of Dubai, and International School of Choueifat are just a 15-minute drive away, and Emirates Hospitals Clinic, Dubai London Clinic, and Al Das Medical Clinic are located directly on the islands. There is also a large park area and three major shopping centers here.

Entertainment

The list of entertainment options available at Palm Jumeirah is diverse and includes world-class attractions. Here you can find The Lost Chambers Aquarium - one of the largest aquariums in the UAE, Aquaventure Waterpark - one of the world's largest water parks, The Palm Fountain - the largest musical fountain on the planet, The View at the Palm - an observation deck at a height of 250 meters, and AURA SKYPOOL - the highest infinity pool with panoramic city views. The area is also known for its exquisite restaurants, including five Michelin-starred establishments, and as many more recognized by the world-famous culinary guide in various categories.

The Golden Mile Galleria, The Pointe by Nakheel, and Nakheel Mall shopping and entertainment centers host hundreds of shops and restaurants, as well as cinemas, children's play areas, spas, gyms, and sports clubs.

Al Ittihad Park covers over 100,000 sq. m and includes fountains, landscaped pedestrian and jogging paths, shaded children's playgrounds, and relaxation areas. You can enjoy a pleasant stroll along the 11-km picturesque promenade along the Crescent and an additional 1.6 km promenade in the Palm West Beach area.

Studios and two-bedroom apartments are even more profitable from an investment standpoint, with an ROI of up to 5.6%.
