Palm Jumeirah is one of the most prestigious areas of Dubai, built on the Arabian Gulf opposite Dubai Internet City, near the popular coastal destinations of Dubai Harbour and Dubai Marina. The area is a group of artificial islands covering an area of 5.6 square kilometers and resembling a palm tree with a trunk, branches, and a crescent-shaped crown, filled with luxury residential properties and hotels.
Luxurious private villas and townhouses are primarily located on the sixteen branches of the archipelago, while five-star hotels and serviced residences, numbering almost thirty, stretch along the semi-circular group of islands known as the Crescent. The trunk of the archipelago is occupied by shopping and entertainment centers, social infrastructure facilities, and mid-rise residential complexes, allowing Palm Jumeirah to be divided into several thematic zones: quiet communities for peaceful family vacations, remote tourist locations with premium resort infrastructure, and more dynamic residential and resort areas, such as Palm West Beach.
The creation of the archipelago began in 2001, and construction started five years later and continues to this day. The main developer is the state-owned company Nakheel, one of the largest in the region, also known for building the unique archipelago The World, the elite community of Jumeirah Islands, and other major areas of Dubai. Currently, the company continues to enhance the attractiveness of Palm Jumeirah for both tourists and permanent residents. Nakheel has launched the construction of a new beach club, the construction of a network of pedestrian bridges, and the renovation of The Pointe shopping and entertainment complex.

All islands of the archipelago are connected to each other and to the mainland of the city. Along the Crescent islands, there is a road, and the central part of the district is connected to the "trunk" by a monorail transport and a one and a half-kilometer underwater tunnel with a six-lane highway. The monorail passes through the entire main part of the area with several stops at popular locations and goes to the mainland next to the tram stop, connecting Palm Jumeirah with Jumeirah Beach and Dubai Marina, as well as several stations of the red metro line.
Two multi-lane bridges lead to Sheikh Zayed Road, one of the main highways connecting different areas of the city. Thanks to this, Downtown Dubai, DIFC, DWTC, and Business Bay are reachable within 20-25 minutes, Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai International Airport within 30-35 minutes, and Burj Al Arab, Dubai Marina, and Mall of the Emirates within 15 minutes. In addition, numerous yacht marinas scattered across the archipelago allow for transportation by personal sea vessels and water taxis.
At least four preschool educational institutions are located in the residential neighborhoods at the base of the archipelago, where pharmacies, convenience stores, and supermarkets like Allday, Choithrams, Cherry Express, Spinneys, Union Coop, and Waitrose can also be found. GEMS Wellington International School, American School of Dubai, and International School of Choueifat are just a 15-minute drive away, and Emirates Hospitals Clinic, Dubai London Clinic, and Al Das Medical Clinic are located directly on the islands. There is also a large park area and three major shopping centers here.
High transportation accessibility, convenient resort infrastructure, a variety of entertainment options, and elite real estate make this area incredibly popular among wealthy buyers. Palm Jumeirah consistently ranks among the top five most interesting places to buy villas and sets world records for price. For example, all three of Dubai's villas from the list of the 25 most expensive real estate properties sold worldwide in 2022 are located on Palm Jumeirah.
Villas with four, five, and seven bedrooms show the highest return on investment, up to 4.9%. Studios and two-bedroom apartments are even more profitable from an investment standpoint, with an ROI of up to 5.6%. Studio prices start at AED 950,000 (USD 259,000), and a four-bedroom villa can be purchased for AED 7,600,000 (USD 2,000,000).
